This hand-cut diptych draws heavy inspiration from the picturesque island of O'ahu. The piece captures an intriguing summer scene echoing a midcentury aesthetic.  At the heart of the composition to the right is a Grumman G-21 Goose airplane, a symbol of both adventure and nostalgia.  Adjacent to it, a sleek speedboat adds a dynamic element to the scene.  The interaction between these two vessels suggests an exchange of some sort, inviting viewers to ponder the story behind this moment.  There are quite a few easter eggs to other pieces as well.  I encourage the viewers to imagine the narratives and possibilities that lie within this captured scene.
